a new year means new strategic plans & budgets
Jul 03, 2023Happy New Financial Year!
A new year brings new KPI's, new budgets, and new strategic plans. I am well and truly into planning some big events for 2024, and also squeezing in some more events this side of Christmas. I trust your calendar will include some business (and social!) events over the next 12 months.
I am asked all the time what software I use for events and its a tricky question because there is no one magic software that does everything. But today I thought I'd share the 3 main pieces of software that I use to plan events.
1. Asana for project management
This is my main piece of software and where I keep track of all my clients' events, tasks and timelines. As soon as I have a new event brief, I set a project board and import my task list (I have master task lists for different types of events).
2. Eventsair for (large event) registrations
To be transparent, this is big fancy (read: expensive) software and I don't include it in my software guide because its really only worth the expense if you're running multiple, multi-hundred pax conferences a year that are ticketed with accommodation.
3. Google Suite
Yep, nothing fancy. I use sheets for budgeting, forms for feedback surveys, docs for brain dumping and briefing, and drive for file sharing.
Keep it simple, but absolutely use software to streamline your workload and make your life easier. If you haven't already you can check out my full software guide HERE
Happy planning!
